3/30/23

A 6-foot-2 southpaw, O’Halloran works in the 87-91 mph range with his fastball and shows good feel for spinning a low-80s breaking ball. He showed well in the Northwoods League last summer, going 2-1, 2.72 with more strikeouts (45) than innings pitched (43) and has continued that success this spring posting a 4-1 record with a 2.18 ERA in 41.1 innings.

11/27/19

6-foot-1, 185-pound left-hander with young features who will continue to develop physically. Old-fashioned delivery with a high-leg kick. He throws from a repeatable ¾ slot, with a clean arm circle out back. He has good balance and consistent pitching mechanics. He sits in the mid-80’s with a naturally running fastball that he locates as well as anyone in the country. He mixes in both a changeup and curveball which give him two useful off-speed pitches. His curve has slower 1/7 shape with depth, and with his ability to locate the pitch, it’s an effective offering for him. His changeup plays off of his fastball, and dies when down. Lots of pitchability from O’Halloran, and with a good spring could see his name being called in June. Michigan commit.

3/29/18

Saw in Florida this March and O'halloran was consistently 82-83, and up to 84 mph with fastball. Clean, easy arm swing, repeats delivery and attacks the strike zone with 3 pitches. Curveball shows good feel with proper rotation and 1/7 shape, downward action that got a lot of swings and misses. There is body control and pitchability, young 2021 arm with big upside.

10/12/17

O'Halloran is an intriguing left-hander with smooth actions and a balanced delivery. The arm is loose and easy, showing the ability to work outfront for the 5-foot-11, 165-pound 2020 grad. Works from 3/4 slot and easy tempo and run on his fastball while showing feel and spin to his curveball. Under control and repeats, O'Halloran is one to stay on from the 2020 class.
