2.19.18
A long and projectable frame, Dylan Jordan showed some nice tools at his first showcase. While Jordan lacks strength at this present time, he has a good understanding of the fundamentals and should only get better from this point. Easy swing with some quickness through the zone from the left side, Jordan has an exaggerated leg kick to load on his back foot, and a line-drive approach with some lift in his swing. Footwork needs improvement in the outfield, while arm action lacks much quickness both in the outfield and off the mound. On the bump, fastball sits 64-66 mph with some tailing action down in the zone. Mixed in a curveball, that shows an 11/5 shape with gradual break, often struggles to get on top of the pitch. Overall, Jordan looks to have a good understanding of the fundamentals and will now need to focus on getting stronger and adding more size as he matures.
