SS/RHP, (2023) St Thomas of Villanova, ON. 5-foot-11, 175-pound projectable athletic frame. Solid fluid at the plate, Chyz had an exit velocity of 84 mph. (72.3 mph bat speed average). (20.8 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic crouched stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled small leg kick. Bat speed is quick efficient, shows a short swing plane and level finish. Produced a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Aggressive approach. Smooth advanced in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 84 mph; has a quick twitchy exchange, twitchy sure hands, and athletic smooth feet. Fielded the ball out front to the side with athletic movement laterally. Using a very quick loose arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.46 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable athletic on the mound, showed a short consistent arm action and an over-the-top arm angle with good arm speed. Up-tempo tilt-and-topple type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed athletic balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with upright finish. Splitter (70-71 mph). Sat with his fastball at 80-81 mph; shows running action and glove side control with tight movement. (Max spin 2188; Avg 1954). Threw a 12/6 curveball (64-66) with gradual tilt action and glove side control. (Max spin 2152; Avg 2113). His flat changeup showed command around the zone and deceiving action.
