Lean 6-foot-1, 160-pound two-way player out of Leaside, Brown was a standout on scout day as he worked both at shortstop and off the mound. In BP, Brown possessed a fluid right-handed stroke with good rhythm, gets his front foot down early and puts himself in a good position to hit with a level stroke that has present gap-to-gap power and solid extension through his finish. Defensively, the arm stood out from short as he was 87 mph across the diamond and moved well, the hands and feet need to sync up more but you can tell there is athleticism and shouldn't be too much of an issue for Brown. On the mound, fastball sat in the 80-83 range and out of a clean ¾ slot. Curveball had some late action and kept down and to his glove side. There is a fairly high ceiling here with Brown, he does a lot of things well and should be a target for schools looking to round out their 2021 class.
