2/15/14 Baker is a solidly built 6-foot, 185-pound 1B/LHP that had an impressive showing for a player that has yet to play his first high school game. The left-handed hitter showed legitimate power potential from a square stance with balance throughout his swing. Baker barreled the baseball consistently and showed the ability to drive the baseball to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Baker will need to continue to work on his agility and arm strength (73 mph) defensively. He registered a 4.58 home-to-1B time. Baker sat 75-77 with his fastball losing much of his velocity when he opens up. His 60-62 mph curveball is a spinner at this point and needs continued development.
