7/22/15 5-foot-10, 185-pound right-handed hitter. Started from slightly open stance and strode to square. Consistently put the barrel on the baseball in BP and showed some pullside pop. Stays tight and in balanced stance on inside pitches. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash and in-game 4.72 home-to-1B time on a turn. Showcased 91-mph exit velocity and 78-mph arm strength from the crouch. Defensively, he blocked well and kept his body quiet when receiving with a soft glove hand. Throws have carry and are accurate. Posted workout pop times of 1.97-2.09 and an in-game pop of 2.08 that was right on the bag.

6/17/15 5-foot-10, 185-pounder showed advanced defensive abilities. Good feet, exchange, and throwing accuracy. Low trajectory with carry. Registered workout pop times of 1.96-2.10 (a 1-2 tenth improvement from when we last saw him in February) and an in-game pop of 2.08. Soft wall, controls ball when blocking. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts slightly open and strides to square. Swing has some length, but he employs a simple approach with a short stride and load, and ability to hit the ball the other way with some power potential (89-mph exit velo).
2/15/15 Braendel is a right-handed hitter with a strong 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. He starts slightly open and strides to square, employing a short load and getting his hands to a good launch position with an upright barrel. His hands work, he gets good extension through contact, and he shows power potential (90-mph exit velo). Defensively, he produced pop times in the 2.15-2.22 range with a strong (77-mph from the crouch), accurate arm. He exhibits quick feet, although was late getting them started, so syncing them up with his exchange should allow him to improve his pop times in short order. Braendel is also a good runner (7.12 60-yard dash) for his position.
