Physical: 6-foot-0, 175 pounds; Long, lean build. 7.45 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman. Good looking swing from a long, lanky frame with the ability to rotate efficiently.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a seamless transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 81 MPH.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup working primarily from the stretch. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Short take back while showing some scap load; high 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 80 MPH, while sitting 78-80 MPH; straight action. CB: 63-65 MPH; slurve like action. CH: 70-72 MPH; fading action.
Physical: Lengthy 6-foot, 165-pound frame with lean strength throughout. 7.45 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, balanced stance with a high starting hand position, straight up next to the ear. Utilized a short lift and replace stride initiating a fluid bat path through a slightly uphill attack, minimal extra movements in the swing allowing for increased consistency offensively. Peppered the ball through the middle-LCF side of the field with loft present (60% fly ball rate) getting up to a 328 feet top batted ball distance per Trackman Baseball. Recorded a 92 mph bat-exit velocity with room for more when looking at a big power ceiling down the line (20.9 G’s of rotational acceleration).
Defensively: The primary outfielder showed length in the approach with ability to get out and around the baseball creating efficient angles towards the target. Fielded off of the left side of his body with one hand, funneling into the belt line, and releasing from a long, high ¾ slot. Accurate 82 mph arm strength towards the plate with good extension on the front side.
Pitching: RHP - Started from the stretch only off of the left side of the rubber. Tall setup with a medium-high leg lift above the belt loop, slight drop and drive with smooth arm action on the release. The FB ranged from 79-81 mph with increased IVB numbers allowing for ride up above the letters (22.8 inches max). Mixed a tight 67 mph SL with true side spin getting up to 14.2 inches of horizontal movement across the plate. Countered with a 71-73 mph CH with a higher release height than the FB while flashing spotty command.
