6/13/17 6-foot-5, 185-pound UMASS-Lowell commit.  Sat 82-85 from an up-tempo delivery out of a 3/4 arm slot. Shows above average body control for a delivery that incorporates a significant leg kick and hip coil.  All work in unison to create deception.  A slider at 74 mph and a 75-76 mph changeup give Sclafani three effective pitches that will translate to the next level.  Worked three innings allowing two hits while registering five strikeouts.

10/29/16 6-foot-5, 180-pound righty impressed again with a projectable frame and an up tempo delivery with plenty of moving parts that cause deception. The junior sat 80-84 from a 3/4 arm slot with the ability to command both sides of the plate. His 76 mph changeup shows some arm-side run and is thrown at fastball arm speed. Sclafani's signature pitch is an advance slider at 72-75 with tight, late break that he has been able to throw routinely for strikes in game action at several PBR events this summer and fall.

9/25/16 Projectable 6-foot-5, 180-pound frame and is fairly new to the mound. Works fast. Wind-up incorporates a mid-delivery tempo change (quick rocker step with pause at the balance point) into a three-quarter slot. Spins around his front leg, although was still around the strike zone. Occasionally was able to get downhill with a fastball at 80-82 that had some life. Has a potential next-level out-pitch in a tight slider with late tilt at 72-75. A mid-70s change-up was a rarely used third pitch.

8/19/16 Souderton Area 2018 RHP  made a name for himself sitting 81-84 with an up tempo delivery out of a 3/4 arm slot. The former primary catcher, in his first year of concentrating his efforts on the mound, starts with a side rocker step and utilizes his 6-foot-5, 180-pound frame effectively in getting over his front leg routinely. The rising junior also commanded a solid slider with late break at 71 mph as his primary secondary pitch. Sclafani worked four innings allowing just one run on two hits.
