Kinneman is a 6-foot-0, 175-pound left-handed outfielder with an advanced hitting approach. He is one of the better hitters in the Class of 2015.
5/12/15 Kinneman showed his athleticism on the mound flashing two types of fastballs ranging from 80-85 mph.

5/14/14 Kinneman is a left-handed hitter committed to NC State with a solid tool set. Above average runner: ran two 4.28 home-to-1B times and was a 3.40 on a steal.  Went 4-4 on the day, including a triple to the base of the right-field fence and a scorching line drive off the pitcher that knocked him from the game.  Flashed good bat speed and arm strength.

5.16.18 - Sturdy, athletic, strong bodied corner outfielder with a well-rounded toolset. He may have struggled in the weeks previous to my first-ever visit to Doak Field, but he swung it well during my look. Strange, but true, he went 1-for-3 with two walks and one strikeout in each game of the three game series. I didn't see the type of swing that has produced a 21% strikeout rate this season, 24% for his college career and 32% last summer in the Cape. He is strong and balanced with good strength and bat speed. Sets up in the far back of the box with a wide open stance and strides to even. Swing has good rhythm and uses his hips and hands well; all in sync with each other. Extends well through the ball and uses all fields. The ball comes off his bat hot and carries well. It's a deceptive type of carry that can cause outfielders to get caught coming in and the next thing you know the ball is over their head for extra bases. He looked comfortable in the box against both right-handed pitchers and lefties and has posted nearly identical on-base percentages (.400 vs LHP, .399 vs RHP) and slugging percentages (.613 vs LHP, .591 vs RHP) so far this season and remarkably consistent with last spring (.503 vs RHP, .500 vs LHP). Defensively he showed a near average arm with average range in left field. He did misplay a line drive that was hit directly at him for an error, but was otherwise solid in the outfield. Overall, Kinneman was impressive in all areas of the game. He showed tools, skills and hustle. Dirtball type of ball player. Look for Kinneman to be selected in the early rounds of Day 2.
