Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Drops hands on the way back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 73 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while active feet. Hands are out in front while standing up during transfer. Moderate arm circle from a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 65 MPH.
Pitching: Berzansky uses a center rubber setup while using an angled drop step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders outside the hips. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly closed. Short take back while arm stays in line with 2B, while working through a standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 73 MPH, while sitting 70-72 MPH; straight action. The right-handed hitter begins with a balanced, crouched stance utilizing a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone showing off occasional lift to the pull-side during batting practice. Recorded a 69 mph bat-exit velocity while hitting into a stiff front-side and ran a 5.22 home-to-first. The primary middle infielder featured average footwork with long, developing movements across the diamond. Arrived to the ball on time, lacking some momentum towards the target. A soft hand and repeatable transfers yielded accurate 60 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a high ¾ arm-slot. The right-handed pitcher sat 63-64 mph out of a repeatable high ¾ arm-slot with small hip coil. Mixed in a 53-54 mph developing curveball with occasional 11/5 action. Countered with a 58-59 mph changeup thrown with adequate sell.
