Physical: Big, strong 5-foot-10, 175lb frame with durability in the actions. 7.74 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, even stance showing good balance at the center of his body, using a slight toe tap stride to initiate a violent, flat path into the hitting zone. The barrel worked accurately through the middle of the field producing lots of line drive contact during his batting practice round (40% LD rate via Trackman). Notched a T87 mph bat-exit velocity while recording extra-base hits when pitched out over the plate (250 foot batted ball distance). Mostly singles approach at the moment and the swing plays in game action while creating minimal swing/miss tendencies.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured adequate glove hand actions at the catch from a low, compact receive position. Pop times ranged from 2.08-2.16, getting the shoulders turned and feet replaced with some pre-catch rhythm setting himself up for a leveraged catch. Clean exchange and fluid H ¾ slot at T71 mph arm strength on the bag. Then used a solid frame to get around downward pitches on either side of the plate with good blocking technique.
Physical: Solid and well proportioned 5-foot-10, 166-pound frame. 8.26 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wide, even stance with a tall setup, the hands started slightly out over the plate. Utilized a deliberate load to the shoulder coupled with a lift and replace stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Contacted the ball at the front of the plate with regularity generating quality feel for the hands and hard contact through the middle of the field during batting practice. Lower half pulled slightly up and out early on occasion creating inefficiencies in the posture, but found the barrel plenty on pitches belt high or higher. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 84 mph according to Trackman Baseball while hitting into a stiff front side.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured adequate receiving skills with a semi-soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.30-2.38 with short and directional straight line footwork out of a moderately low crouch in the setup, quick and medium arm circle from a high ¾ slot. Average blocking skills while showing downward chest angles. C - 66 mph
