McHenry acted as a captain at Octorara in 2014 throwing out 7 of 11 base runners and was named All-Chestmont League Honorable Mention. This summer McHenry will participate for Chester county in the Carpenter Cup and will play travel basseball for Elite Baseball Academy of Lancaster.
7/20/14 McHenry went 4-for-9 in game action with a double including a ball he barreled off the left field wall. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound uncommitted senior right-handed hitter hits from a square stance with a high hands load and registered a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. McHenry showcased pop times of 2.04-2.11 on throws of 75 mph from the crouch.
11/2/13 McHenry is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound primary catcher that also threw a bullpen session. The righty sat 72-73 from a high 3/4 arm slot. He also showed a 63 mph curveball with 1/5 rotation and a 67 mph changeup at near fastball arm speed. His changeup showed significant arm side run and was thrown consistently for strikes. Behind the plate, he showcased pop times of 2.16-2.22 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. McHenry utilized a high hands load and a strong lower half to create barrel whip and displayed the ability to square the baseball consistently with some signs of gap power. He showed the ability to drive the baseball to all fields and turned in a bat exit velocity of 80 mph off the tee.
6/11/13 McHenry hits out of a square stance and relies heavily on weight transfer to generate barrel whip. He has a tendency to get to his front side early on occasion. The right-handed hitter showcased a 75 mph bat exit velocity and went 2-for-6 in game play. McHenry showcased pop times of 2.12-2.25 on throws of 72 mph out of the crouch and a fastball that sat 70-72 during his stint on the mound.
