Notes

Comments

2/12/23

Physical: Ultra-efficient 6-foot, 170lb frame with some bounce. 6.86 runner in the 60YD.

Offensively: RHH. Slightly open, comfortable stance, as the hands showed rhythm to begin. Utilized a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat path from a higher load position. Balanced two-handed finish that was made to shoot line-drives all over the park. Quality hitter reached a T94MPH exit (90MPH AVG) at 340FT.

Defensively: The C/SS is a versatile all-around player. Worked with momentum in the MIF, using soft hands and a clean transition to touch 86MPH across the dirt. Slid behind the plate with A/AVG receive and pop times under 2.00 (1.89 best) at 80MPH.

2/20/22

Physical: Athletic 5-foot-11, 165lb frame with pound for pound efficiency. 7.06 runner.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, square stance, as the barrel starts flat over the backside to begin. Utilized a shoulder tilt downward for direction and a stretched lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill path. High two-handed finish promoting some backspin on line drives to the pull-side gap. Recorded a T94 mph bat-exit velocity with wood (88 mph AVG) and lived on the sweet-spot at an 80% clip. Balanced, mature approach and has a chance to hit for consistency down the road.

Defensively: The primary shortstop was much improved defensively, rounding the ball from right to left with good pace out in front. Fielded softly and kept momentum going to the target, releasing from a quick H ¾ slot up to 83 mph across the diamond. Featured a natural internal clock and made all the plays, including on the run. Then sat comfortably behind the dish in traditional crouch position popping 1.96-2.01 with a 77 mph arm-strength. Replaceable feet with fast transfers in/out of the glove on the bag.

2/12/22

Physical: 5-foot-11, 165 pounds; Athletic, broad shouldered build. 6.66 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 96 MPH via Trackman. ADV approach at the plate with natural feel for the barrel all while maintaining bat speed.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are soft with a seamless transfer. Short take back from a low 3/4 arm slot. 1.88-1.97 pop times. C - 75 MPH. INF - 82 MPH.

6/15/21

Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-10, 150lb frame with efficient movement patterns in all phases. 7.22 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, open stance with the barrel resting on the shoulder to begin; utilized a leg hang to create separation at footstrike, staying over the backside using tight turns to initiate the bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone. Slight lift at times with ability to backspin the ball through the middle of the field. Posted a T85 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman with an impressive 63% line drive rate during his batting practice round, showing off high level B2B skills at the plate. Tough out that carried over confidence into game action, putting a sneaky 71 mph bat-speed to the test against higher velocities with good success.

Defensively: The primary backstop demonstrated a low, traditional setup position out of the crouch. Good flexibility, finding the pocket on the receive from a soft glove hand operation. Pop times ranged from 1.97-2.00 with athletic, strong actions that worked in rhythm towards the release. Got the back foot in the ground and used smooth transfers to give the arm some extra life on T74 mph throws out of the crouch (clean H ). Solid blocker and then moved to shortstop where he featured down chest angels and pace across the diamond with natural feel in space. Smooth glove hand movements that worked down to up and an ACC 80 mph arm strength to the bag with some carry.

2/07/21

Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame with impressive feel in all phases of the game. 7.84 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Bent, balanced stance from a slightly open setup as the hands started comfortably just above shoulder height. Utilized a controlled lift-and-replace stride with ability to flash advanced bat to ball skills at the plate through a flat path in the hitting zone (25% line drive rate). Worked the whole field, though his best results came to the middle-pull sides. Was on time consistently allowing for an 86 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball. Got as high as a 76.8 mph bat speed hinting at a sneaky power ceiling down the line as he continues getting more physical.

Defensively: The primary catcher featured a traditional setup with a soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.06-2.12 with lightning quick transfers to the throwing hand, showing in and out of the glove with accurate throws on the bag (71 mph). Good mechanics and technique in the catch / throw phase carrying over to blocking abilities seen by deadening the baseball out over the plate .. The third baseman worked low to the ground with athleticism in space. Fielded with confidence off of the toes in front of the body with a funnel into the beltline. Accurate 77 mph arm strength across with ability to make the play on the run seamlessly. Positional flexibility is there.
