Physical: Strong/athletic 5-foot-10, 184lb frame with skills that transfer over to gameplay. 7.37 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Tall, open stance at a narrow position before using a simple lift and replace stride out to an even position towards the pitcher (shoulder width attack). The hands launched from the shoulder through a short/quick, flat path into the hitting zone allowing for consistent line drive/fly ball contact through extension. Found lots of success peppering the LCF gap during batting practice flashing good bat-speed (73 mph average) and ready to go bat to ball skills. Carried momentum over to gameplay for hard contact to all fields during tough at-bats and showed well during a PBRT in Dubois a month later.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured adequate receiving skills from balanced/traditional setup flashing a soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times hovered around 2.06-2.13 with natural, fluid straight line footwork towards the target. Replaced well with accuracy on the bag from a loose, high ¾ slot (74 mph arm, slight carry). Blocked with confidence showing quick reflexes on both corners, creating downward shields back over the plate.
Physical: 5’10 184lb C/3B ran a 7.67 laser timed 60-yard dash. Has a thick frame with some strength packed inside of it.
Offensively: Starts slightly open and upright before striding forward into the pitch. He loads his hand right to the shoulder and shows the ability to keep his hands tight to his body. He rotationally turns his body, allowing the barrel to fall into the hitting zone.
Defensively: Behind the plate, he receives from one knee-down stance as well as a traditional squatting stance and sticks pitches nicely. The catch and throw transition was clean and easy. Shows ability to become quicker on throws to second with more efficiency.
