Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance with the barrel placed flat, idle over the shoulder. Utilized a leg hang stride that lifted early, giving way to a swing that worked through a flat path and into the hitting zone. Recorded a line drive approach with punch through the middle of the field, (67% line drive rate) which paired well with an 80 mph peak bat-exit velocity. Singles power at the moment with room for more as he continues developing physically, has a chance with good bat to ball skills.
Defensively: The primary shortstop arrived on time to the fielding window with precision timing in the left foot hitting the ground as he fielded it; got through the baseball with active backside drive allowing for momentum towards first base, good body posture with slight forward chest lean, funnelled into the beltline and let it rip from a short, high ¾ slot (73 mph) across the diamond.
