9/22/13 Baer is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound prospect that has been recovering from a sore shoulder this fall. He has shown pop times of 2.15-2.25 in the past on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. Baer has a projectable frame and has exhibited some pop in his bat. The right handed hitter went 1-for-5 in game action during the course of the weekend, squaring several baseballs for outs.
9/8/13 Baer was unable to participate in defensive activities due to a minor injury, but was able to hit during the course of the event. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound C/OF showcased an 80 mph bat exit velocity. Baer displayed some power potential going 1-for-3 with a double at Misericordia University. He also drove the outfielder to the fence in left field in another at bat.
8/25/13 Baer is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound backstop that has displayed pop times of 2.28-2.38 on throws of 68 mph at past PBR events. He was nursing a sore shoulder and was unable to throw. The right-handed hitter turned in a bat exit velocity of 72 mph and went on to go 2-for-6 with a double in game action over the course of the two day event.
10/11/12 Baer was unable to participate in defensive activities due to a minor injury, but was able to hit during the course of the event. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound C/OF showcased a solid 84mph bat exit speed. Baer has projectable size and shows some power potential offensively.
8/22/12 Baer ran a 7.91 60-yard dash and showcased an impressive bat exit speed velo of 84mph. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound right handed hitter used a short stroke to produce consistent line drives in his round of batting practice. Defensively his pop times ranged from 2.28-2.38 on 68mph throws out of the crouch.
