6/12/13 Cox showcased very raw athleticism and some tools that make him a very interesting follow. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound physical specimen made the defensive play of the event on a fully laid out diving catch in right center field and displayed a 90 mph arm during defensive evaluations. Cox hits out of a slightly open stance and has some deficiencies in his swing, but showed his potential in game play when he barreled a fastball on the outer half to the wall in right center field. Cox struggled with his control during his time on the mound sitting 80-83 out of a high 3/4 arm slot. He also displayed an 11/5 breaking curveball that sat 67-70 mph and a 68 mph changeup.
