8/01/23

Cape Cod: Led Orleans with a .368 average in 57 at-bats during the regular season, with as many walks (nine) as strikeouts. His line-drive stroke from the right side and his plate discipline are his best assets, but he’s also a solid defender on the left side, though he profiles better at third or second than at shortstop. He’s a below-average runner.

2/13/21

Physical: 6-foot, 170LBS MIF. Lean, athletic build. 6.86 60-yard dash. Virginia Commit.

Offensively: Balanced and connected swing. Rocking action prior to load as a trigger mechanism. Feet begin slightly wider than shoulder width. Simple up and down stride slightly gaining ground towards the pitcher. Hands begin outside shoulder and do not have to go far to get to an optimal load position. Showed the ability to drive the ball out in front. Current MAX exit velocity 92MPH, with some overall strength gain will see some jumps.

Defensively: Works low to the ground, both in bend in the knees and low chest angle. Quick, efficient movements while moving side to side. Gets himself in position to make plays and maintains balance well. Proper glove presentation. Showed the ability to throw from multiple arm angles. 85MPH across the infield.

3/01/20

6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitter begins from a square stance and uses a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Showcased balance throughout with a middle of the field approach while staying behind the baseball creating consistent back spin. Registered a bat exit velocity of 87 mph and ran a 6.93 60-yard dash. Athletic defender is comfortable making plays on the move and making throws from multiple arm slots. Showcased 84 mph arm strength across the diamond in rhythm with more in the tank if needed.

1/25/20

Athletic 6-foot, 165-pounder showcased a well-rounded skill set. The right-handed hitter starts from a narrow, square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Stays behind the baseball well creating consistent back spin with above average feel for the barrel. Worked around a significant barrel wrap to be consistently on time to the hitting zone. Registered a bat exit velocity of 86 mph and ran an event best 6.94 60-yard dash. Glides to the baseball defensively with active feet and a quick release. Showed the ability to make throws from multiple arm angles with easy 85 mph arm strength across the diamond.
