2016 PBR Future Games - Team Pennsylvania

2/12/17 6-foot-2, 200-pound Penn State commit looks the part in a uniform. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a controlled, leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Long through the zone with an aggressive hip turn. Ball jumps off his bat with a bat exit velocity of 99 mph. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash and showed above average glove skills around the bag at third base. Displayed active feet and the ability to make plays from multiple arm angles with 87 mph arm strength across the diamond.

10/10/16 Williams can flat out hit.  He smoked a laser line-drive single up the middle during US Elite Baseball’s 5-4 win over the Richmond Braves National 2018s. Williams was on everything this weekend with a quiet approach that gives way to advanced bat speed.

8/4/16 6-foot-2, 190-pound right-handed hitter took one of the top rounds of batting practice on the Team PA roster, flashing a balanced, simple approach with present power (97 mph bat exit velocity). Williams hit a long foul ball in game one that cleared the left field wall by some 30 feet and went 2-for-2 in game two action on the final day of the event. Flashed solid feet and a soft glove hand defensively with accurate 82 mph arm strength across the diamond.

1/16/16 6-foot-2, 190-pound right-handed hitter is nearly a foot larger than the last time we saw him. Williams starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a short heel raise stride. The sophomore creates significant barrel whip with quick hands and solid lower half action. He showed some lift to his swing and the potential for power with a bat exit velocity of 92 mph. Williams was equally impressive defensively flashing quick, active feet and a short release with accurate 89 mph arm strength. Made the slow roller player look routine and showed the ability to make throws from multiple arm angles.

12/28/12 Williams is a power hitter in a middle infielder's body. The current 7th grader showed well offensively with a bat exit speed of 71 mph. He used an explosive lower half and good extension to drive baseballs repeatedly during his round of batting practice. Williams is a player to watch in the Class of 2018.
