6/14/12  Lingle showcased a polished assortment of pitches with downward movement on each. He topped out at 76 mph with a fast ball that had good late down action. Lingle displayed a sharp 12/6 curve ball and a cutter that complimented his fast ball very well.
8/22/12 Lingle showcased the ability to throw four pitches for strikes consistently. His fastball topped at 78mph and his curveball sat 60-62. However, it was his 69mph changeup that had good late downward action and his 68mph cutter that has hard late break that make him an interesting prospect. At 6-foot-3, 190-pounds Lingle has a good upside and room to continue to develop.
10/12/12 Lingle did not participate in the defensive portion of the showcase, but did arrive in time to showcase a 76mph bat exit speed. Lingle had a solid round of batting practice in which he consistently squared the baseball. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound RHP worked two scoreless innings in game play with two strikeouts. Lingle throws out of a high 3/4 delivery and uses four pitches effectively. His fastball topped out at 78mph with good arm side run. Lingle also commanded a 62mph curveball with a 12/6 break and a 70mph slider that is thrown from a 3/4 arm slot. His calling card is his cutter topped out at 74mph. The pitch has good late movement and is used as an out pitch.
11/11/12 Lingle is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound prospect who commands three off-speed pitches very well. With his size, Lingle should be able to add velocity in the future to his 77mph fastball. Lingle showcased the ability to hit corners and to stay down in the zone with a 64mph curveball, a 70mph changeup and with a 66mph cutter. The separation in velocity among the four pitches he throws and the ability to throw all from the same arm speed makes Lingle quite deceptive.
