8/30/16 Haley stood out at the plate going 5-for-10 with two walks, two runs scored and three RBI during the course of the tournament. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound left-handed hitter has a chance to be a run producing, middle of the order hitter at the next level. His projectable frame and 89 mph bat exit velocity will likely lead to future power as well. Although primarily a C/1B, Haley also showcased a fastball that sat 83-84 during his time on the mound. Previously uncommitted, Haley announced his commitment to Ashland University yesterday.
6/15/16 6-foot-1, 200-pound left-handed hitter flashed an 88 mph bat exit velocity and a solid feel for the barrel while going 2-for-4 with a triple in game action. The C/1B starts from a square stance with a high hands load and shows good balance throughout his swing with a short lift-and-replace stride. Solid defender receives well and showcased pop times of 2.10-2.22 with 73 mph arm strength out of the crouch.
2/14/16 6-foot-1, 200-pound left-handed hitter. Starts from a square stance and utilizes a high hands load along with a pronounced leg lift stride to initiate his swing. Demonstrated above average barrel whip (89 mph bat exit velocity) and some present power. Solid feel for the barrel and repeated hard contact. Showcased pop times of 2.10-2.19 with 74 mph arm strength out of the crouch. Showed quiet, soft receiving hand with an athletic stance and actions behind the plate.
6/24/15 6-foot, 200-pound left-handed hitter. Started from a slightly closed stance and strode to square. Routinely barreled the baseball in game action. Simple approach with ability to occasionally generate some loft. Ran a 7.93 60-yard dash and 4.97 in-game home-to-1B time. Showcased 81-mph exit velocity and 73-mph arm strength from the crouch during workout (ran FB up to 81 in game). Posted workout pop times of 2.21-2.29. Could shave some time by getting feet started sooner, in order to sync them up with the catch/transfer process.
6/24/15 6-foot, 200-pound frame. Pitched out of a high three-quarter slot with clean arm action and showed some arm speed. Fastball sat 80-81 and was complemented by a curveball at 67-69 with 11/5 action on which he slows his delivery some, and a change-up at 72-73.
9/14/14 Haley was solid at the plate for the 2nd weekend in a row going 2-for-6 in game action. The 6-foot, 195-pound left-handed hitter continued to display a line drive approach with the ability to utilize the entire field. Haley showcased pop times of 2.25-2.31 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch.
9/7/14 Haley sat 77-79 from a high 3/4 arm slot allowing one run over three innings of game action. The 6-foot, 195-pound sophomore also displayed a 64 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a 68 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed. Haley showcased the ability to use all fields with a lift and replace stride from a square stance. The left-handed hitter flashed an 83 mph bat exit velocity and drove a two-strike opposite field double in game action. Haley showed some promise behind the plate with pop times of 2.25-2.35 on throws of 70 mph from the crouch.
