6/20/18 - Defensively, glove hand is soft and quiet in framing and receiving. Ross shows asoft wall, solid trunk angle and lateral quickness in blocking. Hands and feet are quick, transfer is clean and throwing motion is short. Mechanics and an accurate 79 mph arm out of the crouch played to pop times of 1.87 to 2.0.

Offensively, initiates swing from neutral set up with lift-and-replace stride. Weight shift is passive followed by an aggressive hip turn. Shows quick, loose hands. The back elbow leaks in front of the hands creating drag.  An intermittent compromised release of the backside results in difficulty completing hip turn through the baseball. Barrel feel was evident in squaring of multiple balls during round of BP while flashing pull side power. Ross posted impressive measurables of 93 mph bat exit velocity and a 6.81 60-yard dash.

2/12/17 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a heel raise stride followed by an aggressive weight transfer to front foot. Head travels with weight shift, but showed ability to routinely barrel the baseball with a flat bat path and a line drive approach. Registered an 87 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.32 60-yard dash. Showcased pop times of 2.08-2.16 on throws of 70 mph from the crouch. Very short arm stroke and quick feet lead to clean transition.

10/23/16 - A 5-foot-11, 170-pound strong build. Ran a 4.56 from home to first. At the plate he starts in a balanced, athletic setup. Uses a small leg lift prior to a controlled stride forward. Hands move back and stay rhythmic prior to launch. Bat gets through the zone on a downhill path with quickness to it. Ball comes off his bat well. Has more left in the tank once he learns to get off his back leg and weight shift into contact. Reached a top exit velocity of 80 mph. Behind the plate he showed quickness to both his footwork and transfer. Does a nice job of getting square to second base prior to throwing with 71 mph arm strength. Registered impressive pop times of 1.96-2.03.
