He went 2-for-6 in game play and demonstrated the ability to put the ball in play with regularity. Goryl hits from a square stance with a high elbow load. He showed developing skills behind the plate with pop times of 2.12-2.21 on throws of 72 mph from the crouch.
2/15/14 Goryl is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound 3B that registered a 4.52 home-to-1B time and showed a 72 mph arm across the infield. The right-handed hitter displayed a strong lower half out of a slightly open stance. Goryl uses very little stride, but creates an 82 mph bat exit velocity with a strong hip turn. He barreled the baseball consistently and showcased some gap power potential.
11/2/13 Goryl has added considerable size and strength to his frame in the past year. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitter showed a compact swing and a strong lower half that allowed him to consistently square the baseball. He stays inside the baseball well and makes consistent hard contact. Goryl displayed improving arm strength on throws of 74 mph across the diamond.
1/26/13 Goryl showcased a 66 mph arm across the infield and 74 mph bat exit velocity. He had a solid round of batting practice hitting out of a slight crouch. Goryl showed a short swing path and a strong lower half that allowed him to consistently square the baseball.
