Physical: The Lehigh commit features a strong, projectable 6-foot-1, 176-pound frame with upper half strength. 7.12 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - The righty began from a balanced, rhythmic approach as the hands worked loosely by the head. Utilized a barrel tip on-time with a leg lift in order to produce a flat barrel path with adjustability/lift through impact. Generated lots of extension/leverage at the front of the plate and banged a triple off the RCF gap during gameplay against mid-to-upper 80’s. Mature hitter that takes what’s given and stays inside the legs with noticeable balance. Recorded a 93 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman Baseball / 40% hard hit rate and flashed an eye-popping 26 mph hand-speed on one swing per Blast Motion.
Defensively: The primary shortstop is a ready defender with easy pace on the left side. Beat the ball to the spot with range in either direction, moved well laterally with a purpose. Presented a soft glove hand out in front of the body (left side), scooping and corralling the ball into the belt-line with precision on the exchange. In/out of the glove and low-intent on throws across the diamond (75 mph). Feel for plays on the run with ability to manipulate arm angles.
Physical: Athletic and projectable 6-foot, 170-pound frame with advanced feel for his body in all phases. 7.11 runner in the 60-yard dash. Lehigh University commit.
Offensively: RHH. Tall and slightly bent, balanced setup as the hands showed slight wiggle above the shoulder. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone towards impact. The hands were extremely quick, jolting into the zone with authority while turning the barrel early and often in the swing; matched plane well creating hard contact to all fields during batting practice. Demonstrated sink into an athletic and adjustable lower half which generated natural lift on the baseball to the pull-side gap. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 93 mph according to Trackman Baseball and a maximum distance of 340 feet.
Defensively: The primary shortstop featured smooth, active footwork on the approach, beating the ball to the spot and playing with controlled downhill rhythm towards the target when approaching the fielding window. Showed a hop step for timing on the pitch with a quick first step upon landing, could range in either direction with fluidity in the catch and throw skills, the arm was live through a high ¾ slot.
