10/19/13 Emrich stood out as one of the top two-way prospects at the event. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-handed hitter turned in the top bat exit velocity of the event at 92 mph and barreled the baseball consistently during his round of batting practice. Emrich utilizes a wide base and a high hands load with a strong lower half to create barrel whip. He demonstrated very solid extension to his swing and the potential for some gap to gap power. Emrich receives the baseball well and displayed pop times of 2.03-2.13 on throws of 76 mph out of the crouch. He sat 81-82 out of a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound while commanding a 70 mph curveball with 11/5 break and a 68 mph changeup that showed some arm side run. Emrich displayed repeatable mechanics and command of the strike zone.
