9/30/18 - Defensively, at third base shows soft hands and solid fundamentals in funneling bottom up ad out front. Feet are active. Transfer and arm action are clean. Arm strength of 71 mph was registered on throws across the diamond.
Offensively, 5-foot-11, 175 pound, right-handed hitter initiates swing from neutral with knee lift and controlled stride staying neutral. Separation is adequate. Weight shift is passive followed by an aggressive hip turn. Aggressive hip turn and limited backside release pull barrel out of zone early. Bat path is flat and Murphy is able to get on plane early. A bat exit velocity of 83 mph was registered.
2/12/17 5-foot-10, 170-pounder who pitches out of a high-three quarter slot. Compact delivery with short arm action and soft stab out of glove. Fastball sat 73-76, while he also featured an 11/5 curveball at 63-65 and a change-up at 67-69 with some fading action.

2/12/17 5-foot-10, 170-pound primary pitcher. Exhibited solid hands defensively before funneling the ball to his shoulder for separation into a compact arm action that generated 72 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and incorporates a heel-raise stride. Could relax grip with top hand that currently over-rotates, creating stiffness in his wrists, as the bat sits in his palm. Would also benefit from full incorporation of his lower half, which currently allows limited backside rotation. Ran a 7.85 60-yard dash.
