Steve is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound RHP/3B from Mt. Lebanon HS. He will be participating in the PA Underclass Top Prospect Games in September.

9/26/12 Helmeci threw four innings on the weekend yielding just one run while striking out four. He showcased an 80 mph fastball, a 71 mph changeup and a 66 mph curveball that has tight 11/5 rotation. Helmeci had an outstanding weekend at the plate going 3-for-4 with a double, triple, and five RBI. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound right handed hitter showed an 82 mph bat exit speed and was named the White Team's MVP for his play.
