Brennan is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound RHP/SS from Holy Ghost Prep. He was named 1st-team all-Bicentennial Independence as a sophomore. Brennan went 6-0 with 8 saves and finished with a 0.55 ERA. He was also a Carpenter Cup selection as a sophomore, named to the Second Team All-Southeastern PA Baseball Team by The Philadelphia Inquirer, and named to the Golden Team by the Bucks County Courier Times.
8/24/13 Brennan is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound righty that has polished mechanics and fluid rhythm in his delivery. Brennan sat 81-84 out of a high 3/4 arm slot and pounded the strike zone with significant arm side run. He showed a solid mix of complimentary pitches, utilizing a 75 mph changeup at near fastball arm speed and a 73 mph 11/5 breaking curveball in addition to his fastball. Brennan has an athletic frame that suggests additional velocity is on the way.
6/19/13 Brennan showed well in all facets of the game. The 6-foot-2, 160-pound prospect ran a 7.30 60-yard dash and showed athletic actions in the middle infield with a fluid release and throws of 81 mph across the diamond. Brennan showcased a short swing path and good extension while consistently barreling the baseball during his round of batting practice. The left-handed hitter showed the ability to use all fields and a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Brennan sat 81-82 on the mound out of high 3/4 arm slot with some arm side run to his fastball. He also commanded a 73 mph curveball that has slider action with late bite and a 73 mph changeup with arm side run.
6/12/13 Brennan is a talented middle infielder and left-handed hitter, but only performed as a pitcher at the Top Prospect Games. The 6-foot-2, 160-pound prospect has long levers and an effortless delivery that definitely points to significant velocity gains in the future. Working out of a high 3/4 arm slot, Brennan sat 79-82 during his three innings of work. The righty commanded a 69-72 mph curveball and a 72 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed as well. Brennan struck out four and yielded one hit in his outing, setting the Red Team down in order in the 5th and 6th.
