Physical: Athletic 5-foot-10, 170lb frame with functional strength. 7.12 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Slight bend in the knees with the upper-half showing some coil to it. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat path towards a high two-handed finish. Accurate top-hand that stayed on plane for length, letting the lower half get active on pitches out over the plate. Recorded a balanced round of BP, posting both a 94 mph peak bat-exit velocity and 88 mph AVG. Drove the ball on occasion for doubles power to pull, notching a 42% sweet spot rate.
Defensively: The middle infielder bounced around with banana routes to either side. Gained some through momentum at the touch and shuffled before releasing from a H ¾ slot into the mid-80’s across the diamond. Confident footwork and chopped when needed to arrive on-time. Made the play on the run with an accurate, lower slot.
Physical: Athletic, quick-twitch prospect in a compact 5-foot-9, 165-pound frame. 6.84 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Open, slightly bent through the backside start as the hands showed fluid rhythm above the shoulder pre-load. Utilized a pronounced leg lift stride with some weight shift into the front side at impact. The barrel worked through a flat, slightly uphill attack with ability to lift the pitch out over the plate. Really good feel for extension evidenced by a 50% fly ball rate and a peak batted ball distance of 326 feet during batting practice. Current doubles power and top of the order projection was evident, and a 24.2 mph hand speed certainly won’t hurt the chances to barrel up top of the line velocity. Used the middle of the field primarily in the approach with a developing power ceiling (24.3 G’s of rotational acceleration) while getting up to a 93 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary shortstop was extremely light on the feet allowing for advanced range in either direction. Great reads off of the bat with a lightning quick first step; moved comfortably to the glove hand side with above-average feel for pace in the middle. Handled the play on the run with ease, good transfer mechanism to the throwing ear, and flashed quality arm strength up to as high as 84 mph from the left side.
