Garrick Godin: SS/RHP, (2023) Mount Saint Charles Academy, RI. 5-foot-10, 185-pound lean athletic frame. Above average and projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter's 95 mph exit velocity ranks him 2nd at the event. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a small load, then used a small stride. Bat speed is  explosive, uses an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Aggressive approach. Projectable and capable in the infield, displayed a velocity of 81 mph; has a clean natural exchange, developing consistent feet, and soft developing hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Used a very quick loose arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.46. Above average athletic on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a loose short arm action with quick arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 81-84 mph; had command arm side around the zone and running action. Had sweeping action and glove side around the zone control on his curveball (70-73).

(23.0 mph hand speed average). Started in a wide quiet stance with a tight compact load, then used a controlled toe tap stride. Bat speed was explosive,displayed a short simple swing plane and high good extension on his finish. He barreled up lots of balls with tons of loud contact. Pull side aggressive approach. Above average confident while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 81 mph; has athletic smooth feet, soft sure hands, and a clean natural exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short quick arm action and a high ¾ slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.59. Capable projectable on the mound, showed a short loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with quick arm speed Up-tempo drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed strong balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at79-81 mph; showed sinking late action and both sides of the plate command with heavy movement. (Max spin 2264; Avg 2039). His 1/7curveball (70-72) had glove side control and swing and miss slurvey action. (Max spin 2062; Avg 2004).

Bat speed is explosive 93 mph, displays a simple upward swing plane and high good extension on his finish. Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average In the infield, shows quick fluid feet, soft hands, and a twitchy exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot and a short arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base, arm was clocked at 78 mph. Projectable on the mound, used a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm  angle while showing quick arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses some effort. Even shoulders with an strong balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Had running sinking action and consistent control with his 78 mph fastball. Threw a 1/7 curveball at 66 mph,  with slurvey action and low in the zone command. Had fading action and arm side control on his changeup, clocked at 70 mph. Love the strength and aggressiveness to him.
