1/26/20

6-foot-2, 180-pound, longer, lean athletic frame, rounded shoulders, longer neck, has room for future room for weight gain. A right-handed pitcher, also worked out at 1st base. Off the mound, has a quick temp delivery, hands start and stay at mid chest. The lift is quick and athletic, gets on the backside, small lean and tilt over the backside. The arm action is short and quick, ball is hidden, comes out of a 3/4 to higher slot. The fastball touched 77 mph, with tons of arm side action. The breaking pitch is a curveball, throw at 63 mph, bigger top to bottom break, has the hand speed to turn it into a slider and potentially adding a cutter to the mix. Showed feel for the changeup, clocked at 67 mph, with proper fade and action. Works quick and attacks the zone. At the plate, showed a simple clean left-handed swing, hits against a firm frontside, lower half is under control. The swing is level through the zone, approach is more to pull side. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 81 mph and ran a 4.37 from home to 1st, long athletic strides. At first base, threw 75 mph across the diamond, gets off the bag quickly, feet move throughout. Showed soft hands on picks and glove work. Projects for me off the mound, going to be good for someone, will be a solid bullpen arm, chance to be a serious ground ball guy.

Tee Exit Velocity: 81 mph

Arm Velocity: 75 mph

10/10/19

6-foot-1,185-pound, strong athletic frame, longer neck, rounded shoulders, with plenty of room for added weight..  A right-handed pitcher, fast tempo delivery, arm action is clean and quick working out of a higher slot. Leg kick is athletic, slight coil at peak, lead arm stays inline with average length to stride foot.  The fastball is in the high 70’s, look for a climb, should be a low to mid 80s in 8-12 months. Fastball shows to have late action, heavy 2-seam sink to it. The changeup is a plus pitch, comes out looking like a fastball, with depth, more downward action to it, clocked at 68-71 mph. The breaking pitch, acts more like a smaller slider, clocked at 62-65 mph, will need to develop more fastball hand speed to it. The delivery has some deceptiveness, tough to see and square up. Solid follow, chance to be a quality bullpen arm.
