Physical Profile/Body - 5-10, 145lbs. Medium frame with slender build. Body will sustain additional growth and functional strength as he matures.
Hit - Open stance with medium leg kick and stride length. Quick hand load off the shoulders to a position over the back foot,. Slight wrap at the top prior to launch. Lofted path through contact. Quick hands.
Power - 84 mph exit velo. (Trackman) Line drive approach. Feel for the barrel.
Defense - Smooth OF actions. Lateral movements are quick and gets good reads off the bat. Fluid exchanges at the mid section.
Arm - 82 mph OF velo. Slight arm side running action on accurate throws. Full arm action to a H3Q to OTT arm slot.
Speed - 6.97 sixty time (laser). Sneaky quick runner, athletic on the bases.
Pitching Mechanics - Medium rocker step to a balance point just above the belt. Athletic. Slight rotation at the top and full arm action. Extends down the mound and lands with the front leg flexed. Lands closed of his line. Falls off on the finish to the glove side. Moderate effort, repeats delivery.
FB - FB topped at 79 with heavy tendencies. Arm side run present. Locates the pitch to both sides of the plate with feel.
CB - Sharp downer CB topped at 70 with 2443 avg spin rate. The 12/6 action showed late break and plus potential.
CH - Used the change as a third pitch. Matches hand speed and has efficient speed difference and heavy trends.
Physical Profile/Body - 5-10, 145lbs Slender frame with room for continued development. Slightly sloped shoulders and proportional build.
Hit - Slightly open stance with the feet outside he shoulders. Rests the bat on the shoulder and loads the hands up and back. Medium/high leg kick with moderate stride length. Showed quick hands and an uphill path to contact. Lands slightly closed of parallel. Good extension and long, one hand finish.
Power - 77 mph exit velo. (tee). Consistent contact up the middle and to the pullside gap.
Running/Speed - 3.73 home/first time. Aided by a quick first step and powerful start.
Glove - Smooth footwork, fielded the ball outside the right foot and exchanged cleanly at the belt. Short pro step gets the ball out quickly. Athletic actions on lateral movements.
Arm - 82 mph OF velo. Consistent exchanges to an OTT arm slot. Throws showed good accuracy.
Summary - Dickerson possesses a solid skill set. The two way player showcased well in the outfield with one of the more consistent performances at the Summer Kickoff ID. The frame will continue to develop with maturity and he should be able to add good weight with additional player development. He showed a good feel for the barrel with consistent hard contact. He likes the ball up in the zone as indicated by his two hardest exit velo averages being in the upper quadrants of the zone via Trackman. OF footwork was consistent and he showed off a solid 82 mph OF velo with accuracy.
