Hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, good balance, generates good bat speed, shows some pull-side power in batting practice. He went 0-for-5 in game play.  On the mound, 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect with strong and athletic frame, uses long arm action and works through a high-3/4 slot, shows some quickness in arm, good tempo in delivery, pounds the strike zone with two-pitch mix, showed similar velocity as last fall as fastball sat 81-83 mph touching 84, throws a hard breaking ball with tight spin and slider-type action at 74-77 mph, allowed two hits (bloop and infield single) and struck out two in his two innings of work.
11/1/14 - 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect, strong/athletic body. Offensively he hits from a balanced stance, good lower half usage with a short, toe tap stride, level swing path, ball jumps off bat when squared, shows power potential to the pull side, posted a 4.53 home to first base time, 87 mph exit velocity, went 1-for-4 in game play with a sharp single. Defensively shows decent movement in the outfield, accurate throws with long arm action from the high 3/4 slot, 85 mph arm strength. Versatile and can pitch as well. 2016 prospect to follow.  On the mound, uses long arm action through a high- 3/4 arm slot and across the body delivery, fastball sat 81-84 touching 85 mph with arm side run, produces a lot of ground balls, secondary pitch shows slider action with tight spin and lateral movement at 71-74 mph, gave up one hit and struck out three in two solid innings of work, would like to see him add a change-up to arsenal.
