Eli Scoggins, Van Buren Co High School (TN), 2025 Positional Profile: RHP/OF Body: 6-1, 190-pounds. Slim and athletic build. Muscle present in the shoulders with plenty of more room for added size. Delivery: Very repeatable motion that uses his lower half very well. Stays in back hip before driving off it down the mound. Great follow through and deceleration of the arm. Arm Action: RH. About as textbook as it gets in terms of arm action, appears to be low effort as he goes through his motion. FB: T89, 85-88 mph. Great life in the zone with late run to it. Great weapon to get ahead and let plus offspeed stuff work. T2235, 2145 average rpm. CB: 74-77 mph. Curveball shows a sweeping motion to it, different look than the slider. Same release with both pitches and CH T2544, 2422 average rpm. SL: 79-79 mph. Tightly spun with pure slider shape. T2444, 2444 average rpm. CH: 80-80 mph. A third plus offspeed offering that may be the best of the bunch. Can be deadly when pitching backwards or as a strikeout tool. T1467, 1427 average rpm.

Eli Scoggins, Van Buren County (TN), 2025 Positional Profile: RHP/OF Great feel for pitching and works to get ahead of hitters. Has an advanced feel for his breaking ball at 75 mph. Simple lig lift that he does a great job of staying over with his chest and front side. Can drop his elbow upon release on his CH and FB and lower his release point. maintaines a higher elbow with his breaking ball to stay on top of it. With a higher elbow upon delivery can easily add another 2-3 miles per hour to his fastball. Strong competitor with advanced feel for being on the mound. Plays with a lot of confidence. Commands the lower/outer part of the zone with offspeed and fastball. Body: 6-1, 175-pounds. Athletic build with loose body with plenty of room for added size and muscle. Limber with long limbs Delivery: The righty has a good pace on his wind up but struggles sometimes which causes him to miss high armside. He is more comfortable out of the stretch after an early walk. Out of the stretch he works from a medium leg kick as his hands are able to get going. He was able to locate his BB for a strike early and work it off the plate for swing and misses. The only side note is that on his off speed pitches he drops his elbow just a tad. This kid isn't just a thrower he is a pitcher as he moves all pitches in and out. Arm Action: RH. Eli throws from a 3/4 arm slot and the arm action works quickly out of the glove. FB: T86, 83-85 mph. FB plays armside with heavy run to it. Will be hard for RHH to get their hands inside on his FB T2170, 2005 average rpm. SL: 71-75 mph. SL has good sweep to it, will play off his FB really well. WIll play best if it is thrown across the zone making it tunnel well with his FB. T2440, 2331 average rpm. CH: 78-79 mph. Kills spin on his CH well, CH has good fade to it. Will play really well as it looks like his FB but with late depth T1481, 1405 average rpm.
