2B/SS, (2021) Blackman, TN. 5-foot-8, 160-pound solid frame. In the box, Ryan recorded an exit velocity of 85 mph. Setup included open stance and a tight load. Bat speed was quick, and he had good extension on his finish. Created some loud contact during the round. Fluid in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 77 mph; had soft hands, a fluid exchange and smooth footwork. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a loose arm action and a side slot.
Body Type: 5-foot-7, 145-pound thin and athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Athletic set-up with a smooth and fluid load with his lower half. Hands remain loaded.
Hit: Downhill bat path with a middle of the field approach. Above average bat speed with really good feel in the box.
Power: Line drive guy right now. More to come as he develops and adds size.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Field: Simple/controlled actions in the outfield. Plays with easy feet and soft hands. In the infield he plays with athletic feet and hands really work. Looks the part out there. Solid defender.
Throw: Long, loose arm through a near over the top slot. More strength to come.
