10/13/20

A slender, undersized left-hander with a fastball up to 91 mph, Fitzgibbons is an aggressive strike thrower, allowing all of his stuff to play up and get outs. He works quickly and has deception to his delivery from a high three-quarter release point. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound lefty repeated an above average curveball at 73-75 mph for strikes with spin rates in the 2600s. He also mixed in a lower spin 76-78 mph changeup as third pitch.

5-foot-10, 155-pound, LHP struck out 4 in his 2 innings of work, generating 4 swing and misses on 13 swings against his FB.  Medium, athletic frame w/ some present lower half strength, projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the third base side of the rubber.  Up-tempo delivery w/ some effort.  Short strider.  Super quick arm, ball gets on you as a hitter.  Angle.  FB shows short arm-side run.  Big downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation.  Flashes, has a chance to be a put-away pitch L on L.  Around the zone w/ the FB, struggled to get a feel for the CB.  Projects to command.
