5-foot-11, 170-pound, RHH hits from a very balanced and slightly open stance with relaxed hands, uses a short stride and a slight barrel tilt to get loaded, lower half keeps him balanced and gets through the zone, sometimes over rotates a tad, uses his backside well and gets his barrel on plane for a flat bat path through the zone with some lift, showed a line drive approach with some gap-to-gap pop potential. Defensively, couldn’t compete in the defensive evaluation due to his recovery from an arm injury but was able to play 2B in game action, showed good hands and made every play that came his way.  Recorded a single and scored a run while also reaching base by HBP in game play.

1/18/16 - 5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitter hits from an athletic and slightly open stance, uses a modest leg kick and smooth load with a slight arm bar to initiate his swing, could get more use of lower half, but maintains good balance throughout swing, generates better bat speed and pop with his line drive approach than his 77 mph exit velocity off the tee would suggest, had one of the best rounds of BP at the showcase.  Shows athleticism, didn’t run quite as well as his previous event with a 7.21 60-yard dash (6.97 at previous event) but speed is still present along with his fluid footwork and good hands at the SS position, used a clean exchange and short arm action to produce a very accurate infield arm at 78 mph from a high-3/4 arm slot.  A 2018 prospect to keep a close eye on.

8/16/15 - The 5 foot 9, 145-pound prospect posted a 6.94 60 time and had a 77 mph position velocity across the infield. Defensively, Amour shows short arm action, accuracy, good arm strength, soft hands, fluid footwork, quick exchange, and plays thru the ball well with some athleticism.  Has a chance to stay at the shortstop position as he continues to develop. Offensively, Amour shows average bat speed from the right side and had a 74 mph exit velocity off the tee. Hits from an open setup with a leg kick involved, level swing, average balance, and is a line drive type hitter. Amour went 1-for-4 during game play for the royal team. Amour will be a player to keep an eye on as he develops and adds physical strength.
