Strong bodied medium framed backstop with significant bat-speed. Drove a ball deep off the LF wall. Looked the part behind the dish with enough arm.

5-11, 170-pound catcher had a strong workout where he showed increases in all his numbers from last summer. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, projectable, has just started filling out his frame. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ very short hand rhythm into stride and short load. Simple, repeatable swing w/ still head, barrel feel. All fields approach w/ lot of line drives when right. Can get rotational at times, learning to get lower half in sync consistently. Projectable pull power. Athletic catcher prototype, shows speed that is uncommon for the position. As a receiver, presents quality low target w/ very short glove rest. Quiet receiver. Learning to stick the baseball consistently. Has an idea of how to frame, move his glove around to present the pitch as a strike. Tools to be an above average receiver. As a thrower, shows a quick release w/ good footwork and carry to target arm strength. Maximizes his tools, fundamentally sound thrower.

5-foot-10, 160-pound, RHH showed intriguing all-around athletic profile. Short, athletic frame w/ lean strength throughout, projectable. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, very slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into shift of weight, long stride and short hand load. Generates bat speed through the zone. Lot of groundballs in game on this day, lot of line drives to all fields when right. Knack for contact, 0 swing and miss this day on 5 swings. Gap power type, wants to hit gaps and use his above average running speed to leg out extra bases. Chance for some pull power as frame matures. Projectable above average runner. Defensively, worked out in the OF while catching in game. In the OF, moved well w/ projectable arm strength, speed suggests ability to play CF. As a catcher, sets a quality low target knee high w/ short glove turn as his rest. Athletic catcher moves well behind the plate, shows ability to box the baseball. Tools to be above average receiver w/ soft hands, idea of pitch framing. As a thrower, arm slot works w/ solid release, on the bag accuracy. Projectable arm strength.
