(Goodpasture, 2027) The top-40 player in the 2027 freshman class is making an early impact hitting .500 (7-14) through 5 games. Starks jumped on my radar at our Prep Baseball Tennessee Preseason All-State where he showed a base floor with plenty of future athleticism. He already possesses physicality in the profile at 5 foot 10 and 185 pounds, while clocking him in the 7.1’s for his sixty. The swing is easy and compact throughout, while consistently barreling up baseballs and will provide a major spark for the Cougars in the middle part of their lineup. He is a guy that should start getting on college coaches' radar this upcoming summer.

Nate Starks, Goodpasture Christian (TN), 2027 Positional Profile: OF/RHP Body: 5-10, 183-pounds. Muscular athetlic frame with explosive movements that will develop more strength as he develops. Hit: RHH. Starts with a wider, balanced setup with hands at shoulder. Sits into knee with a small leg kick, and the hands load into the scap the bat 30 degrees behind the head. Generates great seperation before the barrel comes through with a whipping action. Good feel for back leg as it drives into the ground. Drives the ball with backspin to the pullside. Can get on top of the ball at times. Turns very well, swing will develop extremely well as body develops with it. 66.9 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 76.3 mph. 287' max distance. Arm: RH. OF-80 mph. Strong accurate arm with more to come. Defense: Shows confidence coming too and through ball. Gains good momentum with power crow hop before throwing. ATH: 7.40 runner in the 60. 1.77 in the 10 yard split. 25.20 max vertical.
