6-foot-3, 205-pound right-hander tossed two frames against Missouri in Game three with three punchouts. The ‘23 arm has a tall, big-body frame with present physicality and good projection. Minimal movement throughout the delivery, maintaining good head posture and advanced repeatability. In true catcher nature, short, tight arm action working up to high 3/4 slot with controlled, low effort intent. Pounds the zone with FB at 83-87 (1882-2172 rpm per Trackman) with late life. Ball jumps out of the hand and can beat barrels when elevated. Worked strictly two-pitch mix with 72-74 mph CB. Downer 11/5 action with flashes of bite and solid spin (1923-2146 rpm per Trackman). Originally a catcher, Geiger’s future looks to be on the bump, given his high ceiling projection and early feel for two-pitches.
