10/13/18 - Max FB: 83, FB: 78-83, CB: 70-72

6-foot-3, 190-pound, RHP showed advanced feel for an above average CB, generated 5 swing and misses on 9 swings against his FB.  Prototypical pitcher frame, tall, athletic frame w/ present lower half strength, some physical projection.  Pitches from a full wind-up into over the top release from the first base side of the rubber.  Quick arm.  Repeated his delivery on this day, kept his arm on time for the most part.  High effort throw.  Occasional downhill plane when locating down in the zone, bit of a heavy ball.  True FB.  Tight medium downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation.  Has a chance to be a true put-away pitch.  Commanded the CB, around the zone w/ the FB.  Has made strides in FB command throughout the spring, projects to command w/ delivery repeatability and consistency of arm-slot.

6/12/18 - Max FB: 86, FB: 82-84, Avg FB: 82.95, CB: 71-74, CH: 73-76
6-foot-3, 190-pound, RHP continues to take a step forward both velocity wise and control wise every time we see him.  Tall, sturdy frame w/ some present lower half strength, projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber.  Downhill plane w/ quick arm.  Continues to make strides in controlling his lower half.  FB shows occasional arm-side run when thrown to his arm-side corner, occasional cut to his glove-side corner.  Tight medium downer CB flashes above average depth.  Late bite.  Projects as a put-away pitch.  Developing consistency.  Straight CH w/ arm-speed.  Around the zone w/ his 3-pitch mix, projects to control.  Generated 4 swing and misses on 15 swings, including 3 of 6 on the CB.

6/12/18 - Home-1^st: 5.03, Position Velocity:  OF-83, Exit Velocity: 86
6-foot-3, 190-pound, RHH shows bat speed w/ arm strength in the OF.  Tall, sturdy frame w/ some present lower half strength, projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into leg kick and proper load.  Generates above average bat speed through the zone w/ some natural loft.  Power over average offensive profile, flashes ability to drive the baseball.  Showed some power in BP.  Just needs reps against quality pitching to continue his growth.  Projectable below average runner.  Defensively, features a RF profile w/ above average arm strength.  Moves better in the OF than present speed indicates.  May also be an answer on the dirt, profiling at 3B with his arm strength.

10/22/17 - Max FB: 84, FB: 79-83, CB: 69-72, CH: 68-72
6-foot-3, 190-pound, RHP shows projectable arm strength w/ prototypical pitcher frame. Tall, athletic, well-proportioned build w/ lot of projection, some present strength.  Pitches from a full wind-up w/ a rocker step into the first base side of the rubber.  Leg kick into hip drive and H ¾ release.  Finishes upright.  Quick arm w/ near stab in the back.  Downhill plane when finishes w/ some bend.  FB w/ arm side run, occasional sink.  Flattens out when elevated.  Medium downer CB flashes proper rotation, average depth.  Flashed above average depth w/ tight spin.  Still learning to repeat.  CH w/ arm-speed, sink.  Projects to control the baseball, just needs reps within his delivery.  33 % overall swing and miss rate (4 of 12).  Very intriguing 2020 2-way follow.

10/22/17 - Home-1^st: 4.78, Position Velocity:  OF-81, Exit Velocity: 83
6-foot-3, 190-pound, RHH shows power at the plate w/ barrel feel.  Tall, athletic, well-proportioned build w/ lot of projection, some present strength.  Offensively, hits from a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ back shoulder hand location.  Shift of weight, leg kick and short hand load.  Mixes in a toe tap at times.  Generates bat speed through the zone.  Struggled w/ timing on this day, projects to hit for power when he hits the ball out in front.  All fields approach w/ lot of line drives.  Projects for pull power.  Projects as a corner OF w/ carry to target.  Intriguing 2-way talent in the 2020 class.

9/17/17 - Max FB (84), FB (77-83), CB (66-71)
6-3, 190-pound 2-way player shows tools offensively and on the mound.  In the box, the righty hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ back shoulder hand location.  Leg kick to square w/ proper load.  Mixes in a toe tap as well.  Pull heavy approach w/ bat speed.  Potential to hit for average and power.  On the mound, pitches from a full windup w/ arm speed from an over the top slot.  Raw delivery still learning how to consistently engage lower half, keep arm on time.  Gets downhill at times.  Fastball is straight, flashes extension and ride through zone.  Medium downer CB shows above average depth.  Very inconsistent on this day.  DNS CH.  Shows ability to throw strikes w/ FB, as delivery gets consistent, will have avg control.  Strong 2-way prospect.
