The 6-foot, 158-pound two-way prospect showed out at Wow Factor Scout Day in June, earning an invitation to PBR Jr Future Games in August. In the field, Thomas showed great versatility and elite athleticism playing shortstop and centerfield. Showed advanced approach at the plate w/ great hit tool and easy gap-to-gap power. Excellent defender at both positions, game impacting speed in the field and on the base paths. On the bump, clean, arm action and repeatable delivery, running his fastball up to 85.
5-Foot-10, 150-Pound frame, length to frame with room to fill with strength athletic body, Ran a 7.06 60, Offensively; slightly open stance, toe tap to stride, limited hand movement, slight arm bar, barrel cocked at foot strike, barrel works to pull side, front foot rolls after contact, backside over rotates past contact, pull side approach, short finish to pull side, 83 mph exit velo, Defensively; fields outside left, athletic actions, solid crow hop, good funnel, long arm swing, extra steps before release, good carry to throw, 86 mph arm strength.
