Loads back as he triggers his hands down and back, striding out toward the pitcher. Downward initial move as he slots his hands into the zone. Line drive approach creates back spin in the middle of the field with an exit velocity of 82 mph. During the game, he singled up the middle and walked. On the infield, Walton does a nice job of funneling the ball to the midline of his body with soft hands. Throws with accuracy across the infield from a ¾ slot with a clean arm stroke at 78 mph.

On the mound, Walton works from high-¾ slot with a short, clean arm stroke that works well from back to front. Tall-and-fall delivery with a short stride. His fastball sat 78-80 mph with slight arm side run. His curveball has 10/4 shape at 69 mph. Maintains arm speed and has good feel for his changeup at 73 mph.

12.11.16 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound, strong frame. The right-handed hitter starts from a tall set-up with a short leg-kick to transfer aggressively through contact. Solid hand path with strong top hand-punch and strength at contact. Registered an exit velocity of 76 mph and showed the ability to drive the ball with back-spin in both gaps. Defensively, Walton has good footwork and average glove action with smooth transition from catch to release. Showed accuracy to first base with some carry in the arm at 78 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.66 60-yard dash.
On the mound, the right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a short arm stroke and quiet mechanics landing into a stiff front leg. His fastball comes out of the hand well at 77 mph. His curveball has 12-6 action at 65 mph with average depth. Changeup show some arm-side fade at 71 mph.
