8-20-2018: Six-foot-six, 220 pound lefty with an above average curveball as his best pitch. Tight 1/7 rotation, broke hard and late at 72-74 mph. Very good shape to the pitch. At times would fly open, causing his arm to drop and the pitch to back up. May benefit by staying taller in his delivery and more linear with stride, likely resulting in greater angle and even more consistency with the pitch quality. Regardless, he showed a great feel for the pitch, repeated it often enough and dominated left-handed hitters. Induced much swing/miss. Mixed in a 86-88 mph fastball, quick-pitching with it at times. Struck out 27 batters in just 18 IP with a 3.00 ERA this summer. Potential to be an interesting Day Two type of arm for scouts to see this spring, especially if his velocity ticks up a bit. (Seifert)
