3.3.18 Estimated 6-foot-3, 175-pound, lean, projectable frame. The left-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a medium arm stroke, cross-body delivery and regular effort down the mound. His fastball started out 81-83 mph, with some downward angle. His curveball had more slurvey 1/7 shape at 66-68 mph early, and his changeup started out at 66 mph. But the young left-hander got better as his outing went along. In the third inning, his fastball started to climb into the 84-85 mph range, topping out at 86. His curveball also got sharper with tighter spin at 70-71, and his changeup was 70-74 mph. Threw 77 pitches in 4 innings, allowing 3 R, O ER, on 2 H, 1 BB and 5 K. Although he struggles to repeat his delivery now, look for this sophomore to make strides as he continues to mature and add strength to his projectable frame.
