Long torso on the 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, Mason ran a 7.25 60-yard dash with clean movements and even more speed to develop. Right handed swing with uphill hack. Posted 89 mph exit velocity off the tee. Hands and feet worked well togehter in the field, able to make throws from multiple angles. 84 mph across the field.

Mason spends the fall on the gridiron, and at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, he wouldn’t be my first pick to match up against in a tackling drill. The right-handed hitter has big time juice in the bat with pull side power. Uses a leg kick to load as he triggers his hands, landing balanced with good separation. Explosive extension through contact that should allow him to contine to add power as he develops. Repeatable hack with a short path, doesnt try to do too much. Definately a corner bat to watch this spring. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash, and threw 83 mph across the infield.

Mason has an already strong, muscular frame for a junior at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, and is an offensive infielder. The right-handed hitter showed off his strength during batting practice, driving balls deep from the middle of the field to the pull side gap. Athletic stance with quick rhythm and loose hands, he uses a leg kick to get started as he triggers his hands, pointing the barrel forward before striding forward, landing with good separation. Short path, strong hands at contact and solid extension and a top exit velocity of 85 mph. Defensively, Mason has a quick first step and does a nice job of creating quality angles early in his footwork. Solid range, soft hands, quick exchange, can get rid of the ball from a lower slot when ranging to his glove side and on the run. Does a nice job of staying centered over the ball, and threw with a top velocity of 80 mph across the diamond. With his frame, actions, and offensive upside, I could see Mason making the transition to third base at the next level.

Impressive 6-3, 210-pound frame with tons of strength and broad shoulders.  Mason pounded the ball in batting practice making loud contact with carry, and intent in the swing.  He hits from an athletic stance with a controlled leg kick and a smooth load, has fluid actions and balance throughout his swing.  Finishes his swing high with a little authority, and he possesses swagger in the box. In the infield, he showed quick fluid footwork, and was 79 mph across the diamond with accuracy.  Mason ran a 7.35 laser-timed 60. Mason has a high ceiling at the plate, and should be a nice power bat to watch at Euless Trinity and beyond.
