Simple load, lands in strong launch position with hands back. Head stays quiet during the swing, clean hand path, barrel stays in zone a long time with solid extension through contact. Made solid contact throughout batting practice in the middle of the field with good barrel awareness. Exit velocity 84 mph. Parker showed good athleticism at shortstop with solid footwork and rhythm through the ball. Has soft hands from an athletic fielding position, clean exchange to high-¾ arm stroke at 80 mph across the diamond.

The uncommitted senior was flashing the leather from shortstop on Friday night. He showed good range and the ability to make plays on the run with smooth actions and an accurate arm. Although he did not have much to show for it offensively out of the leadoff spot, Parker did drag bunt in a sacrifice situation and ran a 4.0 home to first time. A gutsy player, Parker collided with the Highland Park defender on top of the bag. He popped right up and stayed in the game.
