3/1/19: 6-foot-4, 215-pound lefty showed a quick paced, high stress delivery. However, Doxakis overcomes the energy in his delivery to repeat and command his pitches from a three-quarter release point. Throughout his 101 pitch (68 for strikes) effort over eight innings, he filled the strike zone, spotting up an 89-92 mph fastball. Finished hitters with an above-average slider at 79-84 mph, which showed good tilt and late action, or a well-located fastball. Early in the count he mixed in an 83-84 mph changeup to keep hitters guessing and slow down their bats. Due his delivery, Doxakis is likely to move to the pen in pro ball, yet as long as he's able to consistently hold together his delivery and command the baseball he could become another version of 2012 Atlanta second-rounder Alex Wood. And the team that believes this will likely select Doxakis in the second round as well. (Seifert)

10/26/18Projectable pitcher’s frame at 6-foot-4, 205-pounds. The left-hander has an up-tempo delivery with a quick arm from a slot. Features a three-pitch with tons of strikes, keeping his pitch count low. Fastball topped out at 92, sitting mostly 89-91 with arm side life. Keeps his changeup at the bottom of the zone at 82-84 mph. Slider has lateral shape with sweeping action at 81-83 mph. Went two innings, punched out four batters. (Kelly)

6/26/186-foot-4 lefty whose velocity was down a bit when compared to previous looks during his college career, yet his performance was not. Dominated during his brief, one inning appearance; three up/three down with three punchouts. Doxakis is a strike thrower with a simple, fast paced delivery and a consistent three-quarters release point on all of his pitches. Worked quick. Moved his 87-90 mph fastball in/out and to both sides of the plate with solid arm side life. Change-up was firm with fading action at 83 mph. Slider was short and more backup shaped at 81 mph. Potential early Day Two selection for the 2019 draft. (Seifert)
