Martin is a talented two-way player committed to Wichita State. Not only did the right-hander launch a double to the right-centerfield gap and post an exit velocity of 92 mph, but he pitched at 86-87, with a 73-74 mph curveball. There is a natural feel for all three facets of the game and he has a high ceiling.

01.06.18
Martin has a strong, long-limbed, projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, Shane Martin has a lot of upside on the mound, and at the plate. The right-handed hitter’s swing works well, starting from a balanced setup with relaxed rhythm in his hands. Simple load back, smooth leg lift, lands balanced. Aggressive hack, loose hands, natural lift, and an exit velocity of 83 mph. On the infield, he has a quick release, rhythm in his footwork, and has a clean arm stroke with accuracy at 83 mph across the diamond.
