11.04.18
Collins is one of the top uncommitted players in the Texas 2021 class, and continues to draw the attention of college coaches with his fast hands from the left side of the plate and ability to square up velocity during games. Moves easy in the outfield and can cover a ton of ground. His arm strength has improved recently as he threw 85 from the outfield, and posted a top exit velocity of 91 mph. . 6.99, 85 of, 91 exit

7.23.18
Very athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame with wiry strength and plenty of quick-twitch ability.  Ran an impressive 6.68 laser-timed 60 to start the day, and ran a 4.11 home to first time during the game.  The left-handed hitter has long levers in the box, has a slightly closed stance with his feet, his shoulders are pointed to the shortstop, has a simple load with plenty of looseness in his hands and wrists, takes a short stride, has a flat barrel action getting into the hitting zone and is in on-plane in the zone for a very long time with great extension, has tight turns in his body with lightning quick hands and wrists that allow him to get the barrel to the ball in any part of the zone with ease, and a smooth finish.  Collins has line drive power in BP, but the ball jumps off his barrel even more in games with relative easy effort in the swing. Posted 85 mph exit velo off the tee. From the outfield, he made low accurate throws, has athletic actions as he works through the ball with fluidity and a clean exchange, and has 83 mph arm strength. Collins has a very high ceiling, and it is rare for a player his age to make the game look easy a lot of the time.

6.12.18
Athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pound build with long levers. Collins started the day off by running a 6.78 laser-timed 60, and that athleticism translated to all parts of his game. At the plate, he flashed loose barrel action with bat speed from the left side; 85 mph exit velo off a tee. Is closed off with his shoulders at the plate, but showed the ability drive pitches all over the zone with fluid rhythm and a good feel for his barrel.  Gets great extension through the hitting zone. In the outfield he closed ground aggressively, and worked through the ball with fluid actions and a clean transfer. His throws were low and accurate through the cutoff man, and he showed accuracy in each throw; 83 mph.

2.08.18
The freshman is a quick-twitch athletic player that stands 5-foot-10, 155-pounds with a lean muscular frame. The left-handed hitter has a balanced setup at the plate with quick hands through the zone. Scorched two balls yesterday, the first was a line drive single. The second, was a missile to dead centerfield that one hopped the fence. Gets to full speed quickly, long stride runner.

10.21.17
Collins has a quick-twitch, lean-muscular frame at 5-foot-10, 155-pounds. The freshman ran one of the fastest 60-times of the event, posting a 6.92. His speed translated to the base paths where he gave pitchers fits, stealing multiple bags. The left-handed hitter has a flat swing and line drive approach, he walked and ran a 4.33 home to first time on a hard ground ball to shortstop. Collins starts from a relaxed, tall, open stance, simple load back with a short stride to land square as he slots his hands down and back. Smooth swing, barrel gets through the zone quick with a flat path and slight front arm bar. Snaps the barrel through contact with good extension out front and an exit velocity of 82 mph. Line drive approach with hard contact through the middle of the field and good feel for the barrel. In the outfield, Collins has solid range and cuts distance with good rhythm as he approaches the ball. Accurate throws from a short, ¾ arm slot with a max velocity of 80 mph.
